Reception of the Wafers on November 12, 2013

On November 12, 2013, HashFast claimed on their blog[1] to have finally received the Wafers with the Golden Nonce ASIC from TSMC. Such a claim conflicts with every previous update given on the forum, by email or by voice from HashFast, and is basically an admission of guilty from the CEO himself.

Such previous claims, includes, but are not limited to:

  • Every promise made to early customers to begin shipping before the end of October.
  • Every update sent to early customers, where they confirmed that they were still on track to ship by the end of October. Such updates were continuously released until a few days from the October deadline, and were followed by a delay announcement that is incompatible with Edward receiving the wafers on November 12, 2013.
  • Following updates from HashFast that claimed the delay to be limited to Mid November.
  • Missing pictures of a prototype or rendering of the PCB design until December, supposedly because covered by a NDA. Such a NDA was never disclosed and was claimed to be protected under another NDA that was never disclosed as well.
